Job summary

MNP invites driven students to join our Assurance & Accounting internship, expanding practical financial reporting skills within a dynamic Canadian firm. You will assist in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax while learning IFRS, GAAP and ASPE standards.

You will set up client files, manage multiple engagements, and participate in AR/AP workflows, payroll walkthroughs, and preparing financial reports for review. A CPA track and prior accounting software experience are assets.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with an accounting/finance focus.
• Pursuing prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
• Experience with accounting or tax software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Learn IFRS, GAAP and ASPE requirements.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Conduct client walk-throughs for AR, AP, asset acquisitions and payroll.
