Job summary

Join MNP as a Summer Student in our Assurance & Accounting team across multiple Manitoba locations including Neepawa for May 2027. You will support compilations, reviews, audits, and tax, while developing IFRS, GAAP and ASPE knowledge under guidance from seasoned professionals. Travel flexibility is required as needed.

We value a strong customer service mindset, prior accounting office exposure, and progress toward CPA PEP prerequisites, with a culture that rewards development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
• Working toward prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
• Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset.
• Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset.
• Experience working with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and/or ASPE.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files with inventory counts.
• Perform accounts receivable/payable, payroll walkthrough with clients.
