Job summary

TELUS Health seeks an experienced Associate Partner to lead the actuarial practice within Consulting, focusing on the DB pension space. You will drive client relationships, provide strategic actuarial expertise, and lead business development with senior stakeholders.

You will guide a collaborative team, mentor colleagues, and deliver high-impact retirement plans, ALM studies, and risk management frameworks in a global health and well-being context.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in pension plan consulting.
  • Professional actuarial designation such as FCIA, ASA or FSA.
  • Strong client relationship management, up to C-suite, based on trusted advisor model.
  • Solid understanding of actuarial principles, financial markets, and industry developments and emerging trends.
  • Experience in asset-liability modeling and risk strategy development.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and meet budget and profitability targets.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

What you’ll do…

  • Client Relationship Management: as a trusted advisor, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients; understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Business Development: play a crucial role in driving business growth for Retirement Consulting by identifying new business opportunities with existing and new clients positioning TELUS Health as a leader in the market.
  • Strategic Consulting: provide strategic consulting services to clients by helping them design and manage retirement plans, assess plan funding and risk, develop comprehensive asset-liability management strategies, conduct ALM studies, and implement risk management frameworks that align with plan objectives and risk tolerance. Offer insights and recommendations based on your deep understanding of actuarial principles, financial markets, investment strategies, and industry trends.
  • Team Leadership: lead team engagement by providing mentorship, guidance and technical expertise to team members, fostering their professional development. Ensure effective teamwork, collaboration and knowledge sharing.

You have…
