Job summary

TELUS Health seeks an Associate Partner to lead the actuarial practice within Retirement Consulting. You will drive business growth, manage client relationships, and provide strategic actuarial expertise while mentoring teams in the DB pension space.

The role requires senior leadership, deep actuarial knowledge, and delivering high-impact consulting services to clients across Canada. A bilingual English-French capability is a desirable asset.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in pension plan consulting.
  • Professional actuarial designation such as FCIA, ASA or FSA.
  • Strong client relationship management, up to C-suite, based on trusted advisor model.
  • Solid understanding of actuarial principles, financial markets, and industry developments and emerging trends.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and meet budget and profitability targets.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Ability to understand client needs, provide strategic guidance, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex actuarial concepts to clients and stakeholders.

  • Client Relationship Management: as a trusted advisor, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients; understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Business Development: drive growth by identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients for Retirement Consulting.
  • Strategic Consulting: design and manage retirement plans, assess funding and risk, develop investment strategies, and navigate regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: mentor and lead the team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and collaborative work environment.

Salary Range:

$160,000 - $210,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
