Job description

Our client is a growing, client-focused law firm based in Tantallon, NS, serving clients across HRM, the South Shore, and the Valley. The firm is known for its supportive culture, modern systems, and strong commitment to work-life balance. With deep roots in Nova Scotia, they offer a community-based practice and a lifestyle that many professionals choose to return to later in their careers.

The Opportunity:

Our client is seeking an established, proactive, and client-oriented Associate Lawyer to join their team. This role offers flexibility through a cloud-based practice management system, with the expectation that the successful candidate can attend the Tantallon office as needed for client meetings and team collaboration.

You’ll benefit from strong administrative support—with the option to bring a preferred assistant—and the opportunity to develop a practice in most areas of law (excluding criminal). This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to grow their practice in a collaborative, modern, and balanced environment.

What Is Offered:
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Work from the Tantallon office with flexibility to work remotely, while remaining available for in-person collaboration and client needs.
  • Compensation Options: Choose between salary + bonus or a tiered fee-split model—earnings potential is unlimited
  • Health Benefits & Perks: Bar fees and insurance included, comprehensive health coverage, free parking, and yes—lunch on the sunny back deck
  • Work-Life Balance: Office closures during holidays, bad weather, and even those days that are too nice to miss
  • Pet-Friendly: Furry friends welcome
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience managing your own files and operating with a high degree of autonomy
  • Passed the Bar Exam
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • A commitment to delivering top-tier client service
  • A positive, team-first attitude
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society
