Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in proceedings before Nova Scotia and federal courts and tribunals, including arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with a collegial team at our Halifax office to develop clients and matters.

We are seeking an associate with one to four years of experience to join our Halifax office. The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on a broad range of workplace law matters, but we will also consider applications from candidates who have a strong civil litigation background who are interested in building a career in workplace law. Applicants should either be a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society or eligible for admission. We welcome applications from Atlantic Canadians practicing elsewhere in Canada who are interested in returning home, as well as from candidates outside the region who are eager to relocate to Atlantic Canada.
