Are you an experienced investment professional with a passion for portfolio management and a deep understanding of Canadian, US, and global markets? The RBC Dominion Securities branch is seeking a seasoned Associate Investment Advisor with 15+ years of experience to join one of our senior teams in Etobicoke. If you excel in managing diverse investment portfolios and delivering exceptional client outcomes, we want to hear from you.

About The Role

As an Associate Investment Advisor at RBC, you will leverage your extensive expertise to manage and grow investment portfolios tailored to meet the goals of high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. With a strong focus on Canadian and US equities, mutual funds, ETFs, and global market trends, you will help drive long-term value for our clients.

What will you do?
  • Design and implement personalized investment strategies aligned with clients' objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Analyze and monitor Canadian, US, and global equity markets to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Select and manage investments, including mutual funds, ETFs, and other instruments, within a diversified portfolio.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market trends, macroeconomic factors, and sector developments to inform investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including financial planners and advisors, tax specialists, to provide integrated wealth management solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adhere to RBC’s ethical standards.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
  • CSC (Canadian Securities Course), WME (Wealth Management Essentials), and CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) designations are mandatory.
  • Minimum of 15 years of portfolio management experience, with a proven track record of managing diverse investment portfolios.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and US equities, global markets, mutual funds, and ETFs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in investment management software and tools.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset.
