Job description

Growing Independent Media Agency, Glassroom, focuses on transparent advertiser-agency relationships, the professional development of its experts, and continuous improvement. In this laboratory, we aim to transform brilliant media strategies into inspiring business results.

Glassroom is part of Humanise (https://humanise.world), a collective of nine independent, yet complementary companies who share a belief: Consumers are people, first and foremost.

As the holder of this position, you will play an active role in the growth of our Toronto office, while developing the agency’s investment expertise and building strong relationships with our media partners and clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Management:

  • Actively participate in the evolution and transformation of media buying practices;
  • Implement inventory management tools;
  • Support and collaborate with all members of the investment and strategy teams (Montreal and Toronto) to deliver optimal campaigns and added value for our clients;
  • Work closely with other members of the leadership team in Toronto and Montreal to ensure employee training and well-being;
  • Collaborate closely with other leaders of the Humanise collective and our business partners;
  • Contribute to the ongoing training of the investment team;
  • Participate in agency development activities (pitching, audits);
  • Represent Glassroom in the Toronto market with our clients and media partners;
  • Improve team workflows and processes.

Expertise:

  • Negotiate volume agreements and special projects with our media partners;
  • Develop and implement buying strategies to optimize campaign results;
  • Execute media buys (Radio, TV, OOH, Print, Digital) for our clients and partners based in Toronto;
  • Analyze the media value of proposals from our partners;
  • Stay up to date with new platforms and buying techniques;
  • Ensure media plan compliance;
  • Produce campaign performance reports and provide meaningful analysis;
  • Monitor and adhere to budgets and investments;
  • Supervise media billing and trafficking as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a senior buyer;
  • Expertise in television and radio, with a good knowledge of outdoor and print advertising;
  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian markets and media;
  • Proficiency in English (both oral and written); French language skills are a plus;
  • In-depth knowledge of MediaOcean, Infosys, Radius, COMMB, InstarVAM.
