Job summary

RBC Capital Markets is seeking an Associate Director to lead Data Lifecycle Automation within the CM Technology Data and Architecture Strategy team in Halifax. This role focuses on automating data transfer controls, lineage, data modeling, and data quality using AI-enhanced automation at scale.

You will partner with Data Governance, Chief Data Office, Risk, and Finance teams to embed AI capabilities into controls and enable data-driven insights across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience leading in execution and delivery.
• 3+ years with leading banks and organizations on data governance and controls framework.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle and hands-on experience with application development and AI tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior management across IT and business.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Hands-on experience in building complex custom screens and enterprise-grade application development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions to enhance controls and lineage.
• Collaborate with CM data governance, data quality controls, and Chief Data Office teams to embed AI capabilities into the controls framework.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across CM and Enterprise to enable value through data tooling and automation.
• Evaluate and adopt agentic AI systems and RAG models to automate repetitive tasks and improve decision-making.
• Develop and prototype AI solutions using frameworks such as LangChain and Model Context Protocol to streamline workflows.
• Work with Business/Tech Owners and Data Stewards to deliver business outcomes and value creation.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and success across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
