Job description

Join a leading residential developer with a strong track record of building thoughtful, vibrant low-rise communities across the GTA. If you're someone who thrives on solving planning puzzles, coordinating high-performing consultants, and seeing projects come to life from dirt to keys in hand — this one’s for you.

We’re searching for a Senior Development Coordinator (formally titled Associate Development Manager ) to play a key role in our land and planning team. Reporting to the Development Manager, you'll be at the core of project execution — from supporting zoning and permit applications, to coordinating consultants and providing legal and planning research that drives smart, on-time community development.

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll be exposed to the full lifecycle of development : from land acquisition through to site plan, construction permits, and condo registration.

You'll work closely with sharp, strategic leaders in the industry and legal, planning, and design experts.

You’ll be empowered to own timelines, organize critical approvals, and become the go-to for consultant coordination and municipal engagement.

What You’ll Do

Support and manage municipal approvals for Official Plan Amendments, Zoning Bylaw Amendments, Site Plan Applications, Subdivisions, and more

Coordinate and submit building permits and city-related clearances for residential communities

Assist in reviewing and managing consultant contracts, legal documents, and drawing packages

Monitor planning policy changes, prepare research briefs, and assist with strategy to mitigate development risk

Conduct site visits and preliminary site investigations with a zoning and planning lens

Track project timelines, help manage budgets, and review consultant invoices

Be the engine behind our permit and development process — ensuring no ball is ever dropped

Requirements

Degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, or a related field

4+ years of hands-on experience in residential land development (low-rise preferred)

A working knowledge of planning processes and municipal policies

Strong comfort navigating zoning bylaws, site plans, and development charges

Top-tier organizational skills and an ability to keep multiple projects on track

Clear, confident communicator – comfortable working with consultants, lawyers, and internal stakeholders

Bonus Points if You...

Have worked directly with municipalities in the GTA

Can draft and interpret legal agreements (with help from in-house counsel)

Are energized by helping get permits and approvals through with speed and accuracy

Ready to Build Something That Lasts?

This is more than just another development job. It's a chance to bring communities to life. If you’re looking to step into a role where your work matters, your voice is heard, and your career can grow — apply today.
