Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a Research Ethics Associate to safeguard the integrity of research conducted within SHA facilities. You will review, approve and monitor minimal-risk studies, ensuring ethical conduct and participant protection while supporting the SHA's academic mission.

The role requires a MHSc, at least one year of research experience, and strong collaboration with clinicians, researchers and regulatory bodies to advance evidence-based practice and quality

Qualifications

  • One year of experience performing research.
  • MHSc degree or higher.
  • Licensed and in good standing with regulatory body, if applicable.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review, approve, and monitor minimal risk research within the SHA.

Job Description: The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is an Academic Health Care Organization that aims to provide safe, effective and innovative care through evidence-based practice, training and research. The Research Ethics Associate is a highly qualified person responsible for protecting the SHA, its clinicians, staff, and people they serve from engaging in unethical, poor quality, and/or high risk research that will result in minimal or no value. The Research Ethics Associate plays a critical role in helping the SHA achieve its Academic mission by undertaking the review, approval, and ongoing monitoring of minimal risk research undertaken within the SHA.

Licenses
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
