Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and help achieve sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty when needed and lead the team in the Store Manager’s absence.

This role requires at least two years of retail and supervisory experience, open availability, and strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staffing.
• Stocking and merchandising responsibilities.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Cash management and opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and maintain store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
