• Salary: $23.00/hour, 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Accompany students during school and extracurricular activities
• Assist in school library or office
• Help students individually or in small groups with assignments, reinforcing learning and retention under the supervision of the classroom teacher
• Perform duties assigned by the school principal
• Supervise students during activities, recess, and lunch hours
• Assist with student integration into the classroom and school setting
• Assist with classroom inventory
• Monitor and report student progress to the teacher
• Operate audio-visual or electronic equipment in the classroom
• Support students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille, and remedial programs

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Languages: English
