Job summary

Dollarama in Surrey is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, customer satisfaction, and sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the Manager’s absence.

You will lead staff, ensure top service, and contribute to merchandising, safety, and performance evaluations while pursuing store targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management, store opening and closing duties.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
