Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent, with a focus on team leadership and efficient store performance.

You will participate in staffing, merchandising, training, and maintaining safety and visual standards. Open availability and a proactive, customer‑driven mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
