Dollarama in Saskatchewan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and hit sales targets. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the Manager's absence, ensuring smooth store performance and team leadership.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, retail supervisory experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and daily shipments.
• Provide customer service and resolve escalated issues.

• Perform cash management and store opening/closing duties.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. Acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

Daily Tasks (but not limited to)

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
