Job summary

Dollarama in Stony Plain, Alberta seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily retail operations and drive sales while ensuring customer satisfaction. Act as Manager on Duty in the Manager’s absence and lead a hard-working team to meet store goals.

You will oversee merchandising, staffing, training, and performance feedback, maintaining safety and visual standards. Open availability and strong leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and store opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.

• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
