Job summary

Dollarama in Brandon, MB is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations and to help drive sales while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will assist with staff management, merchandising, stock control, and opening/closing duties, while coaching employees and maintaining safety and visual standards. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. Acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

Daily Tasks (but not limited to)

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.

• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
