Job summary

Dollarama in Oshawa is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist the Store Manager with daily retail operations and to act as Manager on Duty when needed. You will ensure rules are understood and followed, manage inventory for proper resupply, and uphold merchandising standards.

You will participate in recruitment and training of new staff, and you will organize time and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong leadership and communication with the team.

The Assistant Store Manager provides support to the Store Manager in overseeing the daily retail store operations, and in the absence of the Store Manager, acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD).

The Assistant Store Manager makes sure that company rules and regulations are explained, understood and followed by all team members, that inventory counts are done in a prompt and precise manner in order to have proper resupply of goods, and ensures that established merchandising practices are followed. The Assistant Store Manager participates in recruitment and training activities of new employees.

Requirements

• Availability to work 40–50 hours weekly, including days, evenings, and weekends
• Comfortable with ladders, up and down movements, and heavy lifting
• Flexibility to travel within the assigned region
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

From $19.30 to $20.30 per hour. Work schedule to be determined based on store operational needs.
