Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations in Drummondville. You will help manage staff, merchandising, and customer service to achieve sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and effective communication, with responsibilities including training, cash handling, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. Open availability is required for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Perform cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.

Daily Tasks (but not limited to)

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.

• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
