Job summary

Third Space Properties is seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to support startup and field execution of a purpose-built rental development in Vancouver. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role focuses on coordinating day-to-day site activities during mobilization, excavation, shoring and foundation work, while upholding safety, quality and schedule.

Ideal candidates have 4-5 years in construction, strong site operations knowledge, and experience with Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial construction.
• Experience supporting excavation, shoring, civil, concrete, or structural activities.
• Wood-frame multi-family construction exposure is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
• Experience using construction management software; Procore is a strong asset.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Project and Excel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site mobilization activities including site setup, logistics planning, access control, and site documentation.
• Assist in implementing procedures, reporting, and site standards.
• Coordinate utility locates, surveys, and municipal requirements.
• Monitor bulk excavation, shoring, dewatering, and foundation activities.
• Liaise with geotechnical consultants, surveyors, engineers, contractors, and inspectors.
• Track progress against schedules and identify risks or constraints.
• Maintain field records, daily reports, and progress photos.
• Support the Superintendent and project team with safety and quality control.
