Job summary

Gexel Telecom International Inc. is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager in Montreal to lead and coach the sales team, drive the customer experience, and support dealership operations. You will help sales consultants through transactions, advise on vehicle sales, and assist the director with administrative duties.

Summary of the position

• Help sales consultants through transactions;
• Sell or lease cars according to the dealership's customer satisfaction standards;
• Assist the director with certain administrative tasks and fill in during their absence.

Main tasks

• Ensure that sales consultants follow up with customers;
• Participate in the training of new sales consultants;
• Participate in identifying the training needs of the sales team;
• Write reports on the progress made by trainees or new sales consultants during their training and probation periods;
• Help sales management set realistic monthly goals for each sales consultant;
• Share the responsibility of planning sales team meetings with sales management;
• Collaborate on vehicle exchanges between dealerships;
• Approve transactions at the request of the supervisor;
• Assist sales management in performing administrative tasks, including entering used vehicles on the dealership website, promotional sites, advertising, or inventory;
• Stay informed about new products, programs, and current promotions from the manufacturer and/or banking institutions;
• Participate in the planning and monitoring of vehicle displays in the showroom and parking area;
• Coordinate the work of the snow removal team.

Sales-related tasks

• Advise on new and used cars according to the dealership's customer satisfaction standards;
• Maintain a customer follow-up system that promotes customer satisfaction;
• Maintain a customer development system;
• Know and understand all federal, provincial, and local laws governing retail automotive sales;
• Attend training courses on products and customer support;
• Stay up to date on new products, features, accessories, and their benefits for customers;
• Attend sales team meetings.
