Job summary

BEST Service Pros is seeking an Assistant Manager at the Downtown Vancouver site to support the Site Manager in daily cleaning operations. You will supervise a team, ensure safety and quality, and promote the BEST culture.

Work is Tue-Sat, 9am-5pm, with a salary of $55,000-$57,000 CAD per year. A business-related degree and at least 1 year of related experience are required, along with the ability to pass a Canadian background check. Opportunities for growth and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Business-related post-secondary diploma or degree required.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to pass Canadian Criminal Background Check.
• Understanding of the Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee site operations to meet client specifications and review progress.
• Train frontline cleaning staff, supervisors, and administration.
• Motivate, coach, mentor and provide guidance to up to 40 team members.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external sources.
• Identify growth plans for project works or site locations.
• Provide corrective actions per BEST policy guidelines.
• Identify issues and develop strategic solutions while mitigating risk.
• Implement and communicate company initiatives timely and effectively.
• Manage inventory levels of regularly ordered items.
• Handle changing priorities with solid business understanding.
• Respond to inquiries outside business hours as needed.
• Support contractual needs and business growth.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Site Managerin day to day cleaning operations at site level and ensure a safe, professional work environment. The ASM will foster BEST culture, mission, and values.

JOB LOCATION:

Downtown, Vancouver

Shift Day/Time: Tuesday to Saturday from 9am-5pm

Salary: $55,000 - $57,000 per year

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of site operations, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, and reviewing progress
• Train front line cleaning staff, supervisors and administration
• Motivate, coach, mentor and provide guidance to a staff of up to 40 team members ensuring employee development
• Effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external sources
• Identify, support, and develop growth plans for project works or other site locations
• Provide corrective and/or disciplinary action in accordance with BEST policy guidelines
• Identify potential issues, seek strategic alternative solutions while mitigating risk
• Implement and communicate company initiatives in a timely & effective manner
• Efficiently manage inventory levels of regularly ordered items
• Manage changing priorities with a thorough understanding of business needs
• Respond to inquiries outside business hours such as evening and weekends to meet business needs
• Other duties as required to support contractual needs and business growth

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Business-related Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• Ability to pass Canadian Criminal Background Check
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office,
• Understanding of Business Accounting
• Comprehensive understanding of the Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
