Job summary

BEST Service Pros in Edmonton, AB is seeking a dedicated supervisor to oversee daily custodial operations, ensuring buildings look clean, presentable, and inviting. You will supervise daily duties of light and heavy-duty custodians, train new hires, and uphold safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of OHSA/WHMIS. Salary is $19 per hour, with Tuesday to Friday night shifts from 10:30pm to 6:30am, with opportunities for growth within the

• Supervisory experience in custodial services is an asset.
• Ability to pass a Canadian background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily duties of both light and heavy-duty custodians.
• Train new hires and foster BEST’s company culture, mission, and values.
• Maintain open communication with Assistant Site Manager/Site Manager regarding staffing issues, safety, supplies, and other related business concerns.
• Facilitate staff meetings as required to implement policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Maintain and secure storage areas and cleaning equipment/supplies ensuring the safety of staff and the public.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and report vandalism.
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages.
• Other duties as required per business needs.

LOCATION:

Edmonton, AB

SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:

Tuesday to Friday 10:30pm - 6:30am

SALARY RANGE: $19 per hour

JOB OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. You will be responsible for supervising the day to day maintenance of common areas and washrooms, ensure quality control and training new hires.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily duties of both light and heavy-duty custodians
• Train new hires and foster BEST’s company culture, mission, and values
• Maintain open communication with Assistant Site Manager/Site Manager regarding staffing issues, safety, supplies, and other related business concerns
• Facilitate staff meetings as required to implement policies, procedures, and safety requirements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong verbaland written communication skills
• Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Knowledge of WHMIS and standard cleaning products, chemicals, and procedures, is an asset
• Basic computer and smartphone knowledge with experience using MS Office programs
• Ability to effectively analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous supervisory experience considered an asset;
• Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
