Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in Charlottetown, PEI, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, drive guest satisfaction, and support the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or venue operations, ensuring all processes run seamlessly.
  • Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding guest services with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Assist with training staff on hospitality best practices, customer service excellence, and guest engagement techniques.
  • Complete online training as required.
  • Handle guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure every visitor leaves satisfied.
  • Help improve profit performance on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Ensure the restaurant achieves maximum levels of efficiency and profitability by operating within assigned labour targets.
  • Manage cash handling procedures accurately during shifts, including opening and closing registers.
  • Coordinate reservations, seating arrangements, and special event setups to optimize guest flow and experience.
  • Monitor cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations to uphold our high-quality environment.
  • Maintain standards of restaurant opening and closing procedures and the uniform policy.
  • Comply with provincial legislations regarding employment standards, human rights, Health and safety, WHIMIS, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

  • Physical requirements to standing for long periods of time, ability lift boxes and other restaurant equipment
