Job summary

Pearl North York Fitness LP is seeking an Assistant General Manager for our Planet Fitness location at Yonge & Sheppard in North York, Ontario. The AGM leads front desk operations, enhances member experience, and supports the GM in building a high-energy team environment.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to recruit, train and manage staff. Base wage is $21.00 per hour, with full-time benefits after 3 months and opportunities for growth within the

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma/GED.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in gym/retail.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Good communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Able to recruit, train and develop staff.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Workday is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing club operations to ensure a superior member experience.
• Participate in new club opening activities and staff recruitment.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop a high-performing staff team.
• Greet members, sign in, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Schedule and supervise staff to ensure coverage of all shifts.
• Assist payroll processing and admin tasks for staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of facilities and communicate needs to maintenance.
• Support marketing efforts and track club metrics.
