Job summary

Canada West Ski Areas Association is looking for an Assistant General Manager at Manning Park Resort. The ideal candidate will have management experience in the resort or hospitality industry and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include daily management support and overseeing operations in the absence of the General Manager.

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to assist in supporting and facilitating the day–to–day leadership, management and administration of one of British Columbia’s best kept secrets.

The ideal candidate for this year‑round, hands‑on position will possess:

• Minimum of five years’ management experience with demonstrated leadership and coaching skills in the resort and hospitality industry. Candidates with experience in Alpine area operations and/or BC Parks’ contract operations will be given preference
• A diploma, degree or equivalent experience in the areas of Tourism & Hospitality, Business, Marketing or related field is an asset
• Ability to cultivate strong and effective relationships with staff, local businesses and stakeholders
• Proven financial acumen in budget and capital management
• Engaging interpersonal and communication skills
• Business development and supportive mindset
• Oversee resort operations in the absence of the General Manager
• Valid and current documents to work in Canada
