Job summary

Manning Park Resort is a year-round mountain destination in BC seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities and Maintenance team. The role focuses on maintaining buildings, grounds, and guest spaces to ensure a safe and positive experience for guests and staff.

The position requires general maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. On-call shifts and a team-oriented approach are essential for success at the resort.

Qualifications

• General maintenance or labour experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
• Ability to work on-call shifts when required.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and record materials used.
• Perform minor building repairs such as fixing faucets, unclogging toilets, replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and larger maintenance projects.
• Support event room setup and teardown.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Follow safety procedures and WorkSafeBC regulations at all times.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform snow removal and seasonal grounds maintenance.
• Learn and assist with generator operation and emergency switch-over procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

We are currently hiring a General Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities and Maintenance team. This position plays an important role in maintaining buildings, grounds, and guest spaces to ensure a safe and positive experience for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and record materials used
• Perform minor building repairs such as fixing faucets, unclogging toilets, replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets
• Assist with preventative maintenance and larger maintenance projects
• Support event room setup and teardown
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations in a timely manner
