Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Duncan, BC is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Restaurant. You will assist in leading a team, coaching and mentoring, and ensuring a customer-first service culture.

You will also drive daily operations and stock control within a fast-paced grocery environment. Applicants should have retail or customer service experience, a valid Food Safe Certification, and a strong work ethic with a willingness to go the extra mile.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to lead by example.
• Willingness to coach and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team, acting as a mentor and resource to team members.

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Restaurant at our Save-On-Foods location in Duncan, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

You have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Compensation Details:

$19.25 - $22.60 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
