Job summary

Save-On-Foods Kerrisdale in North Vancouver, BC is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Produce to lead a team, coach and mentor team members, and foster a culture of Always Customer First service. The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

The role focuses on training, performance management, and developing future leaders while maintaining stock accuracy and a knowledge of the community to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification required.
• Availability for 40 hours per week.

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Produce at our Kerrisdale Save-On-Foods location in North Vancouver, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

You have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Compensation Details:

$19.25 - $22.60. The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
