As part of a recent internal restructuring, they are seeking an Assistant Controller to join their Montreal-based finance team.

About the Role

As Assistant Controller, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in managing accounting operations, guiding a team of professionals, and driving financial accuracy and efficiency. Reporting to the Controller, this position is ideal for a CPA with a strong technical foundation, multi-entity exposure, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for global entities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Team Leads and indirect reports
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and international standards
• Manage inventory-related accounting in collaboration with global warehouses
• Improve financial processes and reporting structures
• Partner cross-functionally with other departments and business units
• Support audits and special financial projects

What You Bring

• Experience in public accounting (Big 4-6-8 preferred)
• Proven ability to manage CPA-level professionals
• Solid experience with multi-entity and inventory accounting
• Experience in a fast-paced, international environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (strong asset)
• Bilingual in French and English
• Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and analytical mindset
