Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited in Toronto is seeking an Asset Protection Representative to deter theft, safeguard store assets, and partner with store leadership to minimize loss while upholding security procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
• Knowledge of Criminal Code and powers of arrest.
• Familiar with CCTV and surveillance systems.
• Proficient with Windows applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Deter, detect and apprehend theft and fraud within our retail locations.
• Collaborate with APRs to investigate provincial or national ORC cases when they arise.
• Collaborate with local police service regularly.
• Detect and investigate internal investigations; present evidence for court/arbitration.
• Identify shrink opportunities within our operations and mitigate loss.
• Build partnerships with store management through meetings and huddles; mentor colleagues on AP policies.
• Participate in store level audits and community events.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends (40 hr/week).
