Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Peterborough, part of Loblaw Companies Limited, is seeking an Asset Protection Representative. You will deter theft, investigate cases, and work with store teams to minimize losses while promoting AP awareness.

Qualifications

• Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
• Knowledge of Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest; familiarity with CCTV and surveillance systems.
• Professional, friendly and approachable demeanor.
• High initiative and integrity in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deter, detect and apprehend theft and fraud in retail locations.
• Collaborate with APRs to investigate ORC cases when they arise.
• Collaborate with local police regularly.
• Conduct internal investigations and present evidence for court/arbitration.
• Identify shrink opportunities and coach staff on AP policies.
• Participate in store-level audits and community events.
• Work various shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends) 40 hr week.
