Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Take charge of the preparation, improvement and / or revision of asset management reports and other reports for investors. Analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial results of properties, identify areas for performance improvement and make recommendations for changes :

  • Operating revenues and expenses
  • Capital expenditure, development and cash flow
  • Tenant sales and GROC

Review and comment on rental agreements and submit recommendations for improvement where appropriate :

  • Budget compliance
  • Compliance with agreements with various partners and lenders
  • Compliance with strategic plan

Manage the annual property appraisal process. Take charge of the property tax management process :

  • Preparation of internal analyses to develop strategies and forecasts for assessments and tax expenditures (development and operations)
  • Management of documentation and dispute process
  • Contribute to annual property budget process and annual strategic review

Participate in the improvement of new work tools related to budgets, financial forecasts, reporting to internal / external partners and KPIs for operating and development properties. Collaborate with colleagues from other teams to ensure achievement of shared objectives (leasing, operations, accounting, construction, etc.).

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE

  • University degree in a related field
  • Professional designation : an asset (CA, CFA, CPA, etc.)
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Very good knowledge of real estate (commercial, office, hotel and / or residential)
  • Very good knowledge of Argus Enterprise software
  • Knowledge of Yardi, Forecast Manager and Retail Manager an asset
  • Mastery of Office Suite, including Excel : advanced level
  • Interest and skills in technological solutions

Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French and English. Technical expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Intellectual curiosity and initiative. Attention to detail, rigor and ability to synthesize. Creativity, ingenuity and autonomy. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal relations.
