Job summary

Multi-Power Products Ltd., based in Kelowna, British Columbia, seeks a skilled Assembly Technician to join a leading Canadian manufacturer of exploratory drilling equipment. You will assemble complex machinery, read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics, and diagnose issues to ensure equipment meets specifications.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training or mechanical/hydraulic background required.
• 5+ years related experience is a plus.
• Drilling experience is an asset.
• Hydraulic/electrical experience is an asset.
• Good communication skills.
• Minimum Class 5 driver’s license.
• Personal tools required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble drilling equipment including control panels, engines, and power units.
• Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics/shop drawings.
• Troubleshoot and service a wide range of hydraulic equipment.
• Adjust equipment and replace bad parts using hand and power tools.
• Test new equipment to ensure performance and compliance with specifications.
• Start up and testing of equipment.

We are constantly growing and currently looking for a skilled mechanic to join our team as an Assembly Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble exploration drilling equipment; control panels, engines, structural, power units, top drives
• Be able to read and understand schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical)/shop drawings
• Be able to trouble shoot, diagnose and service a wide range of hydraulic equipment
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace bad parts, pieces or systems using hand and power tools
• Test new equipment for proper performance and make sure that work meets specifications
• Start up & testing

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Mostly indoors, Service/Assembly Department
• Eye protection and steel toed boots required on site

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Post-Secondary training OR Mechanical and/or hydraulic background
• 5+ years related experience is a plus
• Drilling exp. is an asset
• Hydraulic/Electrical exp. is an asset
• Good communication skills
