Job summary

Multi-Power Products Ltd. in Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to assemble exploration drilling equipment and perform diagnostics on hydraulic systems. The role requires reading schematics, using power tools, and ensuring equipment meets specifications.

The position is full-time, mainly indoors in the Service/Assembly Department, with potential international travel. Valid passport, Class 5 driver's license, and personal tools are needed.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Mechanic or Hydraulic qualification or equivalency.
• High School diploma (Grade 12) required.
• Excellent communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble exploration drilling equipment, control panels, engines, and power units.
• Read and interpret schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) and shop drawings.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and service hydraulic equipment.
• Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts using hand and power tools.
• Test new equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with specs.
• Start up and test equipment to complete commissioning.

We are constantly growing and currently looking for the right person to join our team as a Journeyman Mechanic

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assemble exploration drilling equipment; control panels, engines, structural, power units, top drives
• Be able to read and understand schematics (hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical)/shop drawings
• Be able to trouble shoot, diagnose and service a wide range of hydraulic equipment
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace bad parts, pieces or systems using hand and power tools
• Test new equipment for proper performance and make sure that work meets specifications
• Start up & testing
  

Work Environment:

• Mostly indoors, Service/Assembly Department
• Ability to travel internationally would be an asset

Qualifications:

This position is full time Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. This position has overtime availability and options for flexible shifts once the probationary period completes!
