Job description

This isn’t a factory floor—it’s where the craft beverage industry takes off.

We’re Cask Global Canning Solutions—a privately owned Calgary company, 120 years strong. For the last 25 years we have been disrupting the global craft beverage industry. From right here in Alberta, we’ve made it possible for craft beverage businesses to own their packaging, operate independently, and scale with confidence. Walk into a grocery store anywhere in the world and you’ll see what that looks like: shelves stacked with aluminum cans filled by thousands of independent producers using our systems.

We work in 80 countries with 1,800 customers, from kombucha makers and craft brewers to cannabis beverage innovators. What ties them all together? They’re building something they care deeply about—and so are we.

We’re not a giant factory with conveyor belts and monotony. We’re a team of builders, tinkerers, and people who give a shit. We work together to assemble high-performance, small-batch canning systems that help entrepreneurs scale their businesses and own their future.

What You’ll Do

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll work hands-on with new equipment that ships directly to our global customers. This is collaborative, precision-driven work where your contributions are visible, valued, and vital. You’ll:

  • Assemble mechanical sub-systems that form the bones of our packaging lines
  • Build and test full systems from engineering drawings and schematics
  • Wire and configure electrical panels alongside experienced panel technicians
  • Prep materials, stage parts, and maintain shop flow to keep us moving smoothly
  • Support continuous improvement, helping us get faster and better without sacrificing quality
  • Learn advanced skills like Lean Manufacturing principles, BOM interpretation, and pneumatic/electrical integration
Who Thrives Here

People who thrive at Cask are:

  • Curious. You ask questions, dig deep, and want to know how it works.
  • Reliable. You show up, follow through, and raise your hand when things need fixing.
  • People-first. You want to build great things with great people.
  • Energized by impact. You care about your craft—and about helping others scale theirs.

You'll have:

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safe work practices
  • Exposure to manufacturing, automation, or mechanical systems
  • A technical trade background in industrial mechanics, automation, or electrical work
Why Join Us

We’re not just in the business of canning systems—we’re in the business of unlocking potential. This role is a launchpad. You’ll build things that matter, learn new skills every week, and be part of a team that’s building for the future. Your work will directly impact the growth of entrepreneurs around the world—from ski towns in Colorado to farms in New Mexico to city centers in the UK. Check out some of the customers you’ll help power:

Benefits & Culture
  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive healthcare and wellness spending
  • 4-day work weeks in the summer to invest in family and friends
  • Flexible vacation and time off
  • A team that invests in your growth and values your perspective
  • A culture of builders, helpers, learners—and laughter
TL;DR

This is the opposite of a dead-end manufacturing job. It’s a high-skill, high-impact role on a team that’s powering the craft beverage revolution. You’ll work with heart, precision, and an incredible crew. Ready to build something that matters?
