Job description

Join to apply for the Assembly Technician role at Cask Global Canning Solutions.

This isn’t a factory floor—it’s where the craft beverage industry takes off.

We’re Cask Global Canning Solutions—a privately owned Calgary company with 120 years of history. For the past 25 years, we have been disrupting the global craft beverage industry. From Alberta, we enable craft beverage businesses to own their packaging, operate independently, and scale confidently. Our systems are seen on grocery store shelves worldwide, filled by thousands of independent producers.

We operate in 80 countries with 1,800 customers, including kombucha makers, craft brewers, and cannabis beverage innovators. All share a common trait: they’re building something they care about—and so are we.

We’re not a giant factory with conveyor belts; we’re a team of builders, tinkerers, and passionate individuals. We assemble high-performance, small-batch canning systems that help entrepreneurs grow and own their future.

What You’ll Do

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll work hands-on with new equipment shipped directly to our global customers. Your work will be collaborative, precise, and impactful. You will:

  • Assemble mechanical sub-systems of our packaging lines
  • Build and test complete systems from engineering drawings and schematics
  • Wire and configure electrical panels alongside experienced technicians
  • Prepare materials, stage parts, and maintain shop flow
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance speed and quality
  • Learn advanced skills such as Lean Manufacturing, BOM interpretation, and pneumatic/electrical integration
Who Thrives Here

People who thrive at Cask are:

  • Curious: asking questions and eager to learn how things work
  • Reliable: showing up, following through, and fixing issues
  • People-first: wanting to build great things with great people
  • Energized by impact: caring about craft and helping others scale theirs
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safe work practices
  • Experience with manufacturing, automation, or mechanical systems
  • Technical background in industrial mechanics, automation, or electrical work
Why Join Us

We’re in the business of unlocking potential. This role offers growth, skill development, and the chance to impact entrepreneurs worldwide—from Colorado to the UK. Our customers include Nelson Brewing Co., Hip Pop Drinks, and Baked Chicken Farms.

This is an in-person role at our Calgary headquarters. Salary ranges from $50-65k depending on experience. We prioritize internal development and promotion.
