Job summary

Randstad Canada seeks a Technical Associate for our Southeast Calgary equipment shop. You will dismantle and clean specialized machinery, preparing units for installation at client sites.

The role suits detail‑oriented individuals who thrive in a production environment and are comfortable using hand and power tools. The position offers a consistent day shift in Southeast Calgary with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, and tools/PPE are provided to ensure safe, efficient work.

  • Ability to perform physical labour and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Organized and detail oriented in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle, clean, and bench 2–4 machines per day for client installation.
  • Use hand and power tools to disassemble equipment safely.
  • Work in a production-line workflow and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Lift/move equipment from carts to sinks and counters as required.
  • First 2–3 months focus on dismantling/cleaning rather than rebuilding.

Job description

A client of ours is seeking a Technical Associate to join their equipment shop team in Southeast Calgary. This role is focused on the dismantling and cleaning of specialized machinery to prepare them for installation at various client sites. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a production-line environment and is comfortable using hand and power tools.

Pay rate: $22.50 per hour Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM General Area: Southeast Calgary Shift is Tuesday - Thursday

Responsibilities
  • Dismantle, clean, and bench approximately 2–4 machines per day to prepare them for client installation.
  • Use various hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, and drills, to disassemble equipment.
  • Work efficiently within a shop environment following a production-line workflow.
  • Safely lift and move equipment of varying weights from carts to sinks and counters.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure production goals are met.
  • Please note: The first 2–3 months of this role focus specifically on dismantling and cleaning rather than rebuilding.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience using basic hand and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting 30–40 lbs alone and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a production-line setting.
  • Reliable transportation to the Southeast Calgary area.
  • Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Must own and wear steel-toed shoes.
