Job summary

Seal n Save Blacktopping Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Spreader Operator to join our paving crew in Thunder Bay, ON. The position offers a full-time, permanent role with competitive hourly pay based on experience.

The successful candidate will operate asphalt spreaders, assist with prep and paving tasks, and collaborate with the crew to deliver high-quality residential, commercial, and industrial paving projects. A strong safety mindset and reliable outdoor work ethic are essential

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of asphalt paving experience.
• Valid driver’s license (DZ or AZ an asset).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate an asphalt spreader and maintain asphalt thickness per scope.
• Assist with prep work and asphalt paving operations.
• Work with the crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Communicate with Project Manager, Estimator, and Paving Supervisor to plan and execute procedures.
• Complete tasks independently and as part of a crew.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.

Asphalt Spreader Operator

Location: Thunder Bay, ON.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour (based on experience).

Job Overview:

Seal n Save Blacktopping Inc. is expanding it’s paving services and is seeking experienced Asphalt Spreader Operators to join our paving crew. The successful candidate(s) will play a key role in asphalt paving operations, working closely with the paving team to deliver high-quality results for residential, commercial, and industrial paving projects.

We are looking for a motivated individual(s) with strong paving experience who can contribute to both crew productivity and project quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate an asphalt spreader and maintain asphalt thickness per scope.
• Assist with various duties related to prep work and asphalt paving operations.
• Work collaboratively with crew members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Communicate with the Project Manager, Estimator, and Paving Supervisor to plan and execute paving procedures.
• Complete tasks independently and as part of a crew.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.

Experience & Skills:

Preferred candidates will have experience with:

• Asphalt spreading, raking, and finishing.
• Grading and final grade preparation.
• Paving driveways, commercial parking lots, industrial yards, walking paths and municipal and provincial paving projects.
• Operating paving-related equipment.
• Understanding paving layouts and achieving proper asphalt finishes.

Requirements:
