Job summary

OCAD University is seeking a Program Development Specialist to create non-credit learning opportunities connecting mid-career artists and designers with industry partners, alumni and community networks.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Strategy, you will develop market-driven programs, manage budgets, coordinate instructors, and advance lifelong learning in art and design through strong partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Art, Design, Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of program management experience in adult learning environments.
  • Experience developing non-credit programs for mid-career professionals.
  • Strong research, analytical and budgeting abilities.
  • Experience with LMS, CRM and registration systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships with alumni and industry.
  • Commitment to equity and inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with faculty, industry professionals and stakeholders to develop specialized non-credit programs for mid-career artists and designers.
  • Work with international partners to deliver short courses, workshops and residencies.
  • Support the delivery of existing non-credit programs and assist with registrations, communications and CRM use.
  • Ensure programs are financially sustainable and aligned with new markets.
  • Lead grant applications and external funding opportunities, liaising with the Manager.
  • Assess viability of new learning opportunities and prepare budget proposals and monitoring.
  • Recruit, onboard and support instructors and alumni-engaged experts for classroom delivery.
  • Provide insights and reports to inform marketing, branding and advertising opportunities.
