Job Description

ECS is seeking an ARPA-H Acquisition Policy Expert to work in our remote office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [contract award]. Are you a passionate Acquisition Policy Subject Matter Expert ready to support the leading edge of scientific and healthcare advancements in the Federal Government today?

In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H, supporting advanced R&D efforts, shaping future programs, and integrating healthcare ecosystem processes and policies. You will provide support to R&D teams, government program managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem.

What You Will Do

1. Create policy templates and guidance
2. Stay current with scientific advancements:

Track and analyze new research findings

1. Identify emerging methodologies and technologies
2. Participate in scientific discussions and presentations
3. Collaborate within a diverse team:

Build relationships with scientists, engineers, and advisors

1. Communicate complex concepts clearly
2. Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving

Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000

Required Skills

1. J.D. or equivalent legal degree
2. Minimum of 20 years of experience
3. Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and write reports
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
5. Ability to work independently and in teams
6. Strong work ethic and passion for healthcare and scientific discovery
7. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency

Desired Skills

1. Experience within a Federal ARPA organization (3+ years)
2. Experience in Federal Healthcare or Scientific Consulting (2+ years)
3. Supporting R&D programs
4. Expertise in intellectual property law
5. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations
