Position Summary

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) plays a crucial role indeveloping new business relationships and enhancing current partnerships withinthe assigned sales territory. This position demands a thorough understanding ofthe sales process, emphasizing lead generation, relationship-building, andearning business. The ASM will utilize strong negotiation skills andeffectively present our products to attract new leads and nurture connections.Additionally, this role involves delivering impactful presentations and representingthe company at networking events and trade shows, striking a balance betweenprofessionalism and approachability. The ASM also leads, trains, and overseesSales & Merchandising representatives, Distributors and 3rd party salesbrokers, ensuring a cohesive and effective team.

  • Partner with local distributors and wholesalers to promoteand sell our brand portfolio to retailers
  • Join Sales & Merchandising reps on ride-alongs tosupport selling, merchandising, training, relationship management, andregularly assess their performance
  • Ensure prime in-store merchandising space, complete SKUavailability, strategic POS placements, and increased distribution points
  • Maintain all equipment, racks, signage, and POS materialsupdated, clean, and visually displayed in an appealing manner
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationship with retailstore owners, managers, and their staff
  • Focus on establishing new accounts within your assignedterritory, oversee existing accounts, and keep in regular communication withprimary contacts
  • Drive sales growth in the territory in line with targets setby the Commercial Director
  • Engage regularly with distribution partners and salesbrokers to ensure alignment on KPIs
  • Assist in coordinating sales efforts across differentterritories and provide support to other sales representatives
  • Participate in evening and weekend promotions and specialevents as needed
  • Utilize CRM software to track and monitor account activity,optimize routing, follow up, and leverage analytics for informed businessdecisions and sales strategies
  • Create optimal routing for store visits on a weekly basis,minimizing travel time while maximizing sales reach and efficiency
  • Analyze store visit reports from the CRM to identify areasfor improvement and replicate successful efforts and strategies
  • Conduct regular Sales Team calls with your Sales &Merchandising representatives to establish a clear action plan for store visitsand merchandising implementation, address out-of-stock issues, confirminventory plans, provide updates on promotional execution and adjustments, andenhance overall coordination for in-store operations and sales growth
  • Champion the Electrolit brand by embodying the Electrolit K2mission
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Sales experience in the beverage industry, preferablynon-alcoholic
  • Direct Selling experience in the beverage industry
  • Supervisor or managerial experience is a plus!
  • High school diploma or CAEC equivalent; bachelor’s degree inSales, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Proficient in computer usage, with a working knowledge of MSOffice
  • Experience with sales management software and CRM tools
  • Highly motivated and target-driven
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 90% within theassigned territory

Other Requirements

  • Travel for customer visits, company events, or long-distancetravel within the assigned territory
  • Legally authorized to work in the Canada
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license and active auto insurance policy

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended period of times while driving tolocations
  • Ability to stand, walk, occasionally lift, and carry objects(up to 40 ponds)
