Job summary

Baywest Homes is seeking an Area Sales Manager in Calgary to lead a team of Sales Associates and Ambassadors, driving sales growth and delivering a premium customer journey from initial contact to possession.

The role focuses on proactive prospecting, effective discovery, and clear communication with purchasers, construction, warranty, and marketing teams to ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction. A strong background in new-home sales and construction documents is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience, preferably in a high-engagement or client-focused environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and convey information clearly.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, grade slips, specifications, and other construction-related documents.
  • Previous experience in the new-home sales or real estate industry.
  • Proficiency with MS SharePoint; BuildTopia experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while delivering a premium purchasing experience and maintaining customer satisfaction scores above industry benchmarks.
  • Actively prospect, nurture, and qualify leads through effective discovery, ensuring accurate registration and timely data entry into the CRM system.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between purchasers, construction, warranty, office teams, and the land developer, providing regular communication and bi-weekly build-progress updates.
  • Prepare and accurately complete all sales-related documentation, including Purchase Agreements, FINTRAC forms, pricing/design requests, change orders, reports, and lot-hold submissions.
  • Maintain the sales centre, show homes, and spec homes to company standards, ensuring cleanliness, security, accurate signage, and sufficient marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute community-specific initiatives, drive new and repeat traffic, and support strategic sales objectives.
  • Manage prospecting and community engagement activities to increase return visits and build a strong lead pipeline.
  • Participate in purchaser meetings, walkthroughs, possessions, sales meetings, and training sessions as required.
