Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking an Area Manager for Recycling Operations in Brampton or Kitchener, ON, Canada. The role oversees multiple recycling units, drives productivity, and ensures financial performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Area's recycling operating plans, consistent with long-range objectives, to enhance effectiveness and delineate responsibilities and authority.
• Counsel managers on the execution of programs, processes, and initiatives, and provide direction for modified work plans or contingency plans when necessary.
• Oversee human resource needs, including selecting, coaching, training, and evaluating employees; provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• Facilitate regular Profit and Loss (P&L) reviews and execute action plans to improve equipment and facility utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs.
• Conduct regular cost of goods sold (COGS) reviews to ensure plants maintain or improve gross margin spread as COGS fluctuate.
• Implement and maintain programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability; ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations; conduct regular site safety reviews with plant managers and supervisors.
