Job summary

Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is seeking an Area Manager based out of Edmonton to manage a portfolio of multi-family residential properties in Alberta.

You will lead a team of site staff, troubleshoot operational issues, and drive asset management success in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 3+ years in operations management, strong sales and customer service background, and the ability to coach and coach others.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operations management role.
• Strong background in sales and customer service.
• Ability to coach and provide feedback.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated team leadership and collaboration.
• Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management and budgeting techniques.
• Ability to work independently with good judgement.
• Proactive, initiative-taking and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of buildings to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Promote tenant relations and marketing to minimize vacancy loss and maximize revenue.
• Coach site staff in resolving tenant issues.
• Prepare monthly financial accounting, reporting and explanation of variances.
• Oversee rent collection policies and related programs.
• Assist in recruitment for individual properties.
• Evaluate economic trends, profitability and marketing issues.
• Ensure RTB compliance in all areas.
• Represent the company at RTB hearings.
• Assist the Regional Manager with special projects or other duties.
