Job summary

Qulliq Energy Corporation in Iqaluit, Nunavut, seeks a Communications and Social Media Coordinator to strengthen its digital presence. You will develop, design, and deliver social media initiatives across platforms, create content aligned with QEC’s brand and energy priorities, and support public engagement and education efforts.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs, you will manage content calendars, produce multimedia materials, translate technical concepts for public audiences, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• At least 2 years of social media management experience.
• Familiarity with Nunavut’s cultural context and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage content calendars across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and community channels.
• Create culturally relevant content reflecting QEC’s values and energy priorities.
• Produce and edit multimedia content including photos and short videos.
• Manage social media channels, monitor inquiries, and support public outreach.
• Support campaigns on energy conservation, safety, outages, and new programs.
