Job summary

CertainTeed is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager, Wood, to serve as a trusted technical partner to architects, contractors, and internal teams across Canada and the United States. This role translates architectural concepts into practical wood ceiling and wall solutions, guiding projects from design through installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent combination considered.
• Minimum 10 years in technical sales, architectural products, or related roles.
• Experience with CAD, Revit, or parametric modelling tools.
• Technical knowledge of architectural wood products and finishes.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Partner with architects during Design Development and Construction Document phases, providing product expertise and solutions.
• Advise on wood ceiling/wall applications, species, veneers, coatings, and MEP integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to meet structural, acoustic, and aesthetic requirements.
• Guide contractors on installation methods and field issue resolution.
• Support design teams with budgets, takeoffs, and shop drawings.
