Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking an Architectural & Technical Representative to promote IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products to the design, contracting, and distributor communities in Manitoba.

Based in Winnipeg, you will respond to technical inquiries and support projects with design professionals. You will review specifications, train stakeholders, and build relationships across the design and contractor networks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a related position and/or technical sales experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Solid proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Some overnight travel required.
• Experience with roofing and building envelopes is an asset.
• College or university degree is an asset.
• Roofing, Construction Technology or Construction degree is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and collaborate with design professionals to ensure IKO is listed in project manuals.
• Liaise with contractors and distributors to ensure IKO products are used on projects.
• Identify, qualify, create demand, and pursue opportunities with accounts.
• Conduct product knowledge training sessions such as lunch & learns.
• Develop relationships with key specifiers and decision makers.
• Conduct site visits, quality control reports, and write summaries.
• Attend association events to promote IKO Commercial products.

We are currently seeking an Architectural & Technical Representative to join our commercial sales team of skilled professionals in Manitoba.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products to the Design Community, Contracting Community and Distributors as required. Also, responding to both internal and external customer inquiries on technical issues relating to commercial roofing and building envelope. This position will be based out of Winnipeg , Manitoba.

Location: Greater London Area

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 3 + years in a related position and/or technical sales experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must have a solid understanding and actively use Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Some overnight travel required.
• Experience with roofing and building envelopes is an asset
• College or university degree is an asset.
• Roofing, Construction Technology or Construction degree is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while working independently.
