Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a technical sales professional to manage architectural specifications and drive opportunities with design firms. You will train local teams, nurture relationships with key specifiers, and promote IKO Commercial products across projects.

The role requires strong communication, presentation, and travel readiness, with a base salary reflecting a $75,000–$95,000 range and additional company benefits. A vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently.
• MS PowerPoint, Word and Outlook proficiency.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Roofing or building envelope experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and coordinate with customer segments to list IKO in project manuals.
• Identify and pursue opportunities with architectural and design firms.
• Monitor portals for projects and share leads with customers.
• Conduct product knowledge training sessions (lunch & learns).
• Build relationships with key product specifiers and decision-makers.
• Attend association events to promote IKO Commercial products.

The base salary for this position ranges from $75,000.00 to $95,000.00. Company vehicle is provided

Job Responsibilities

• Review job specifications and proactively work with key customer segments to ensure that IKO is listed in the project manual.
• Identify, qualify, create demand, and pursue opportunities at assigned and prospective new architectural and design firms.
• Monitor specification portals for upcoming and future projects and provide leads to assigned customers.
• Conduct product knowledge training sessions such as lunch & learns.
• Develop and manage personal relationships with key product specifiers and decision-makers in assigned market.
• Attend and participate in related association events to promote IKO Commercial products.

Qualifications

• 1 + years in a related position and/or technical sales experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must have a solid understanding and actively use Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Some overnight travel is required.
• Previous experience with roofing is an asset.
• Previous experience with building envelopes is an asset.
• College or university degree is an asset.
• Roofing, Construction Technology or Construction degree is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while working independently.
